Timothy Eli Rich, age 45, of Iron City, was arrested on multiple drug and firearm charges on Wednesday, August 5th. Deputy Tyler Sanderson filed a report stating that he performed a traffic stop on the vehicle in which Rich was a passenger for a non-working headlight. Deputy Sanderson’s report stated that due to the extreme nervousness and alleged indicators of illegal activity exhibited by the driver, he and Deputy Austin Lanier had the driver and three passengers step out the vehicle. While Deputy Lanier was checking the passengers for weapons, Deputy Sanderson had K9 Buddy perform an exterior scan of the vehicle. Rich was allegedly found to be in possession of approximately 3.2 grams of methamphetamine, approximately 8.1 grams of marijuana, 1 ½ Xanax pills, eight oxycodone pills, and two meth pipes. A loaded handgun allegedly belonging to Rich was also located in the back seat of the vehicle. Rich was arrested on charges of manufacture/deliver/sell/possession of methamphetamine, simple possession of schedule IV Alprazolam, simple possession of schedule II Oxycodone, simple possession of schedule VI marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, felon in possession of a firearm, and possession of a firearm during commission of a felony. He was booked into the Wayne County Jail on $167,500.00 bond.
