Mr. Thomas Craig Cole of Columbia, TN, formerly of Wayne County, TN, was born on August 23, 1950 in Waynesboro, TN. He was the son of the late Max Berry Cole and Marietta Templeton Cole and was united in marriage to former Janice Sims on May 10, 1972. Mr. Cole was a retired treasurer with Dixie Graphics and departed this life on Friday, January 28, 2022 at his home at the age of 71 years, 5 months and 5 days after an extended illness.
Mr. Cole is survived by his wife of over 49 years, Janice Sims Cole of Columbia, TN; a son, Matthew Ian Cole and his wife, Jessica of Murfreesboro, TN; a daughter, Rachel Leigh Cole of Columbia, TN; his three grandchildren, Shawn Clifton, Hailey Cole and Hanna Clifton, his sister, Wanda Thomas of Waynesboro, TN and nephews, Curt and Stephen Brewer. In addition to his parents, Mr. Cole was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Brewer and a niece, Angela Thomas.
Private memorial services will be held in Memorial Gardens of Wayne County in Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Rev. Eric Hogstrom officiating. Burial will follow the service with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County assisting the family.
