Franks & Baugus Awarded by Basketball Coaches Association of Tennessee

Wayne County High School Boys’ Basketball Coach Ryan Franks was recently named the Basketball Coaches Association of Tennessee 2025 Class 1A Coach of the Year. Franks received this honor after leading the WCHS Wildcats boys’ basketball team to the Final Four in the Tennessee State Tournament. He just wrapped up his 14th season as Head Coach for the Wildcats and is also the Principal at WCHS.

WCHS Senior Blair Baugus was named the Basketball Coaches Association of Tennessee 2025 Class 1A Player of the Year. Blair recently finished her impressive and historic high school basketball career as a WCHS Lady Cat after also being named Class 1A Miss Basketball for the second time. She is headed to Middle Tennessee State University this fall to play basketball for the Blue Raiders.
