Wayne County will be participating in Small Business Saturday, November 30th, as part of the 10th annual holiday shopping tradition. Founded by American Express in 2010, Small Business Saturday is a day to celebrate the small businesses that help support our community. It is celebrated annually on the first Saturday after Thanksgiving at the height of the shopping season. Small Business Saturday brings shoppers, small businesses, and civic leaders together to support our community.

The Waynesboro Downtown Committee, which assists our downtown businesses in promoting the holiday, will be hosting several family-friendly events! Beginning at 10:00 a.m., Santa Claus will make an appearance on the third floor of the Wayne County Courthouse until 2:00 p.m., sponsored by Wayne County Bank. Crafts for children along with hot cocoa will be provided by

Peoples Bank. The Wayne County Chamber of Commerce’s awesome annual event, “The Festival of Trees” will be displayed throughout the courthouse for all to enjoy.
Good times and fun entertainment will be provided by The Van Kleef family from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., and the Cliftones will perform from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Bring chairs and the family to enjoy the music, friends, and shopping.

We look forward to seeing you and your family this year as we celebrate Small Business Saturday and support all of our local businesses in the Wayne County area.
