Shirley Sue Walker Harder of Waynesboro, TN was born August 29, 1943 in Clifton, TN, the daughter of the late J. G. and Gertrude Throgmorton Walker. She married Jamie Wayne Harder on November 9, 1968 and he preceded her in death on November 3, 2009. Mrs. Harder was the retired Medical Records Director at Wayne Medical Center in Waynesboro, TN where she served as Hospital Administrator for eight years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Waynesboro, Tennessee and departed this life on Wednesday, November 24, 2021at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee at the age of 78 years, 2 months, 26 days.
She is survived by a daughter, Natasha Harder; a son, Brett Harder, fiancée’, Alexa Getz; two grandchildren, Aaron Harder and Kaitlyn Harder; and her grandchildren’s mother, Patsy Harder, all of Waynesboro, TN.
Services were Monday, November 29, 2021 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel, Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Greg Eaton and Aaron Harder officiating. Burial was in Throgmorton Cemetery, Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County assisting the family. Pallbearers were Jim Mangubat, Matthew Turley, Robert Lonis, Franklin Cole, Jerry Duren, and Tyler Tetz with John Hill as honorary pallbearer.
