Shirley Jane Daniel Wright of Cypress Inn, TN was born on January 30, 1938 in Waynesboro, TN. She was a daughter of the late Harvey and Clara Mae Brewer Daniel. She was united in marriage to Robert D. Wright on December 19, 1954 and he preceded her in death on May 26, 2015. Mrs. Wright, a retired seamstress from Angelica Manufacturing Company, was a member of the Piney Grove Freewill Baptist Church, Cypress Inn, TN. Mrs. Wright departed this life on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at Morning Pointe in Columbia, Tennessee at the age of 83 years, 11 months and 19 days.
She is survived by a son, Robert D. Wright, Jr. of Collinwood, TN; daughters, Teresa (Wright) Spence of Lewisburg, TN and Patricia Dianne (Wright) Weeks, husband, Coy of Iron City, TN; grandchildren, Jason Wright, Jessica Brown, husband, Caleb, Jacob Wright, wife, Kelsey, Amanda W. Burks, husband, Jared, Courtney Butler, husband, Wesley, Joshua Spence, wife, Ashton, Jonathan Spence, wife, Caroline and K.B. (Spence) Trout, husband, Tyler; and great-grandchildren, Brayson Wright, Brinklee Wright, Maddie Brown, Cooper Burks, Hudson Burks, Eliza Jane Johnston, Norah Chapel Butler, Whit Butler, Beau Spence, Tucker Spence, Henry Spence, Quinn Spence, Eleanor Spence, Griff Spence and Judd Trout. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Wright was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Dan Spence; brothers, Jeffie Daniel, Gene Daniel, Willie Daniel, Ronald Pete Daniel and Donnie Daniel; and sisters, Ruby Thompson, Lina Butler, and Frances Martin.
Services were held Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 11 am at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel, Collinwood, TN with Stephen Stults officiating. Burial was in Piney Grove Cemetery, Cypress Inn, TN with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County assisting the family. Pallbearers were Josh Spence, Jonathan Spence, Tyler Trout, Jared Burks, Wesley Butler, Jason Wright, Jacob Wright and Caleb Brown.
