Shirley Dodd West Riley, Waynesboro, Tennessee, was born May 7, 1937 in Collinwood, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Alex and Bertha Haddock Dodd. Mrs. Riley had owned and operated the Shoe Hut in Waynesboro and was a member of the Waynesboro Church of God. She departed this life, Saturday, March 27, 2021 at her daughter’s home in Smyrna, Tennessee at the age of 83 Years, 10 Months, 20 Days.
Survivors are son, Randy West, wife, Linda, Middlefield, OH; daughter, Tabitha Daniel, husband, Steve, Smyrna, TN; grandchildren, Chandler Francis, wife, Karli, Dakota Daniel, wife, Emily, Kincaid Francis, wife, Hannah and Skyler and Destiny Daniel; great-grandsons Carter and Luke Francis; and nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Mrs. Riley was preceded in death by husband, James Riley; daughter, Glenda Francis; son, Anthony West; sisters, Era Jean Holthouse, Ruby Dean Jenkins and Louise Teeftaller and brothers, S.W. and Daniel Dodd.
Services were Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel, Collinwood, Tennessee, with Tommy Burke officiating. Burial was in Memorial Gardens, Collinwood, Tennessee. Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County assisted the family. Pallbearers were Chandler Francis, Kincaid Francis, Dakota Daniel, Skyler Daniel, Steve Daniel and Michael Francis.
