Shawn Ernest Atchley of Waynesboro, Tennessee was born October 5, 1965 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Boise Ray Atchley of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, who survives, and the late Lois Wilodene Hayes. Mr. Atchley departed this life at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN, after a short illness, Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at the age of 54 Years, 10 Months, 21 Days.
Shawn was united in marriage to the former Anita Jane Wiley on May 10, 2002. He was a member of the Full Gospel House of Praise, Union Veterans of the Civil War and Boy Scout Troop 366. He and his wife have served as volunteers at the Wayne County Welcome Center in Collinwood, TN.
Mr. Atchley had worked as a funeral director and embalmer in the Wayne County, TN and Hardin County, TN areas as well as in Michigan for many years.
Besides his father, he is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Anita Jane Atchley of Waynesboro, TN; brother, Bill Morris of Harbor Springs, MI and sister, Sandi (Morris) Smith of Collinwood, TN.
Services were held on Sunday, August 30, 2020 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel, Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Joseph Wallace officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Lutts, Tennessee.
