Sandra Sue Goodman Payne was born September 6, 1942 in Waynesboro, Tennessee, the daughter of the late James Albert and Mary Opal Ray Goodman. Ms. Payne departed this life at her daughter’s home on February 19, 2021 in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 78 Years, 5 Months, 13 Days. Ms. Payne served her community as a Registered Nurse and a member of the Green River Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Bandi Payne of Waynesboro, TN, Shonda Holt of Madison, AL; six grandchildren, Makenzi Holt Brooks, Marigrace Holt, Jon-Nathan Holt, Micah Brantley II, Caleb Brantley, Daniel Brantley; three great-grandchildren, Ella Garrison, Loxley Brooks, Cora Holt.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Payne was preceded in death by a son, David Micah Brantley, and a brother, Conrad Goodman.
Services will be held on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Home chapel, Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Greg Eaton officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens, Waynesboro with Shackelford Funeral Directors assisting the family.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 from 11:00 am until service time at Shackelford Funeral Home, Waynesboro.
