Russell Cleo Rich was born October 27, 1927 in Collinwood, Tennessee, the son of the late Lewis Franklin and Virgie Bell Pigg Rich. He was a Foreman for General Motors, attended the Green River Baptist Church in Waynesboro, TN, and helped with Meals on Wheels. Mr. Rich departed this life on Monday, August 2, 2021 in Fayetteville, TN at the age of 93 Years, 9 Months, and 6 Days.
He is survived by three sons, Russell Franklin Rich and wife Kathi of Waynesboro, TN, Jim Rich of Waynesboro, TN, Ronald Rich of Yucaipa, CA; a daughter, Charlene Kovacs and husband Jess of West Branch, MI, 9 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and several great-great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Russell Rich was preceded in death by his sisters, Reba Jane Rich Pigg Holt, Gertie Arnett, Viva Garrett, Beulah Bourland, Elsie Brown, Edith Hollander, his brothers, Danny Rich, Carmel Rich, Erby Rich, Fred Rich, James Rich, and Robert Rich, and an infant sister.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 6, 2021 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and also on Saturday, August 7, 2021 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM service time at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Collinwood, TN. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Collinwood, TN. The burial will follow in the Jackson Cemetery at Cypress Inn, TN.
