   Mrs. Ruby Nell Whitehead Skelton departed this life on November 27, 2019 at Waynesboro Health and Rehab, making her stay in this life some 80 Years, 3 Months and 17 Days. She was born August 10, 1939 in Hohenwald, Tennessee to the union of the late Jesse James and Edna Lou Riley Whitehead. She married Hershel Skelton on February 4, 1956 who preceded her in death after 49 years of marriage, on December 21, 2005. She married David Decker on November 14, 2009, who survives. Mrs. Skelton was a retired CNA and Housekeeper from Wayne Medical Center and a member of Mt. Hope Methodist Church.

   She is survived by her husband David Decker of Waynesboro, TN; a son, Byron Skelton and wife Paula of Clifton, TN; three daughters, Valerie Skelton Wilson and husband Mike of Waynesboro, TN, Rhonda Edwards and husband Michael of Waynesboro, TN, Sharri Partain and husband James of Clifton, TN; four step-sons, Donnie, Kevin, Nick, and Dave Decker all of Michigan; a brother, David Whitehead of Hohenwald, TN; grandchildren, Daisha Andrews (John), Josh Nance, Brittney Wallace (Danville), Hagan Edwards, Kaisha Ricketts and Kirby Bridges; four great-grandchildren, John Tyler Andrews, Tucker Andrews, McKayla Nance and Hunter Nance.

   In addition to her parents, Mrs. Skelton was preceded in death by her first husband Hershel Skelton, a son Gary Skelton, a daughter-in-law Machell Skelton, three brothers, Coy, Roy, and Paul Whitehead, and a sister Ann Wright.

   Services were held on November 30, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Teddy Bias and Sherry Wallace officiating. Burial followed in the Memorial Gardens at Waynesboro, Tennessee. Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County assisted the family with arrangements.
