Rollin Jon (Ronnie) Dygert

   Rollin Jon (Ronnie) Dygert, Waynesboro, Tennessee, was born August 10, 1948 in Muncie, Indiana to the late Rollin J. and Phyllis White Dygert. He was united in marriage to the former Priscilla Ann Strong on July 31, 1971. Mr. Dygert was a past alternate to the American Angus Association, past vice-president of South Central Tennessee Angus Association, member of Lawrence-Wayne County Cattleman Association and proud member of Local 1853 UAW. He retired from Saturn Manufacturing, Spring Hill, TN and was of the Methodist faith. Mr. Dygert was a graduate of Muncie Central High School and Ball State University in Muncie, IN.  He was a proud United States Navy veteran of two tours in Vietnam on the USS Ticonderga. Mr. Dygert departed this life on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, Tennessee at the age of 72 Years, 3 Months and 29 Days.

   He is survived by his loving wife of almost 50 years, Priscilla Strong Dygert, his sons, Shaun Dygert and Jon Dygert and wife, Laura and his grandsons, Carson and Caden Luke Dygert all of Waynesboro, TN; his brother-in-law, Merle Strong and wife, Vickie of Nobelsville, IL; four nieces, Tammi Fitzgerald and husband, Casey, Mandi Garner and husband, Randy, Loryn Bonker and husband, Matt and Karen Jehl and husband, Kevin and many friends. Other than his parents, Ronnie was preceded in death by his brother, Daniel Dygert; his sister, Carolyn Goodwin; and his parents-in-law, Willie H. and Katherine Strong.

   Memorial services with military rites for Mr. Dygert were Saturday, December 12, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel, Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Adam Rush officiating. Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County assisted the family. Visitation was from 11 am to service time at the funeral home. At his request, his body was cremated.
