This year the Collinwood Depot Branch Library received a T.O.P. (Training Opportunities for the Public) Grant, which provided funding for a Robotics and Coding Camp. Instructors Patricia Caceras and Patrick Brewer held camp classes at the Collinwood Middle School. Due to COVID restrictions, the number of students was limited for these classes. The classes were held on July 6 & 7, and July 8 & 9. There were two different groups of students, with each group attending eight hours of class. The students received instruction on Lego Robotics in designing and coding their specific robots to move and make sounds. The students were excited to learn about this important field of study, and enjoyed filming their robots for their families to be able to see what they were able to accomplish.
