Robert Joe Whitehead Arrested for Meth, Drug Paraphernalia

   Robert Joe Whitehead, age 51, of Waynesboro, was arrested on Monday, September 21st on charges of manufacture/delivery/sale/possession of methamphetamine and felony possession of drug paraphernalia. Sgt. Michael Byrd of the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office filed a report stating that he observed Whitehead pull into the Hasti Mart parking lot in Waynesboro after the business was already closed for the day. Sgt. Byrd asked for and was granted permission from Whitehead to search his vehicle, and allegedly located approximately 7.1 grams of methamphetamine, two glass pipes, and two sets of scales, all hidden in the dash of the truck. Whitehead was arrested and booked into the Wayne County Jail on $85,000.00 bond.
