Rhonda Jo Long McDonald was born on Sunday, March 1, 1953 in Waynesboro, Tennessee. She was the daughter of Margaret Jo Tomlin Long and the late Amos Herschel Long, Jr. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Ms. Rhonda McDonald departed this life on Thursday, August 12, 2021 in Savannah, TN at the age of 68 Years, 5 Months, and 11 Days.
Rhonda Jo Long McDonald is survived by two daughters, Kellie Devers and husband Scott of Collinwood, TN, and Nickeima Hobbs and husband Alan of Savannah, TN; a son, Jerry Allen McDonald, Jr. of Waynesboro, TN; two sisters, Deborah Allen of Waynesboro, TN, and Shelia Glover of Waynesboro, TN; a brother, Herschel Long of Waynesboro, TN; and nine grandchildren, Tyler Anthony Devers, Jacob Scott Devers, Gabriel Allen Hardin, Aryona Lee Hardin, Eric Blake Hobbs, Shyanne Hobbs, Shelby Ann McDonald, Aaron Thomas McDonald, Cheyenne Abrie McDonald.
In addition to her father, Ms. Rhonda McDonald was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Eric DeYarmon, and a brother, William Larry Tomlin.
The graveside services were held on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 3:00 PM at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Waynesboro, TN, with Casey Jones officiating the service. Burial followed in the Walnut Grove Cemetery with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County assisting the family.
