The Waynesboro Church of Christ will be hosting a Red Cross Blood Drive in memory of Bob Turman on Tuesday, July 13th from 1:30 until 5:30 p.m.

Bob Turman was a well-known Waynesboro educator and judge who passed away in December of 2020 from complications of COVID-19. His daughter Sarabeth Turman had the following to say about the blood drive:

“Help change the life of someone in need. You never know when you or someone you love will need to receive blood. Donating blood was important to my dad, and I’m sure he never thought he would be the one needing it in the future. My dad and I have both been recipients of blood transfusions. Knowing the importance and effects of giving, he never hesitated to donate blood when the time arose. On July 13th, 2021 there will be a blood drive in memory of my dad at the Waynesboro Church of Christ. Please help us in celebrating his life and saving another by donating in memory of my Dad.”
