   Mr. Porter Will Newton was born December 6, 1938 in Lynnville, Tennessee, the son of the late Herman Dean and Florence Newton. Mr. Newton was a Dye Setter at Murray Ohio and served his country in the United States Army. Mr. Newton departed this life on February 17, 2020 in Waynesboro making his stay in this life some 81 Years, 2 Months, and 11 Days.

   He is survived by his companion Minna Faye Kilpatrick of Lawrenceburg, TN; two sons, Jeffrey Will Newton and wife Mary of Franklin, TN, Timothy Wade Newton and wife Michelle of Lawrenceburg, TN; a daughter, Mary Melinda Allen and husband Gary “Doc” of Smyrna, TN; five grandchildren, Crystal Nicole Newton, Justin Tyler Newton, Kari LeAnn Basham, Crysta Michelle Nilsson, Meagan Marie Foster; four great-grandchildren, Alexander Tiberius Basham, Mira Delynn Basham, Leiarah Rei Basham, Cheyenne Isabella Newton; a sister, Velma Mitchell of Pulaski, TN.

   In addition to his parents, Mr. Newton was preceded in death by three brothers, James Newton, Clarence Newton, and Thurman Newton; and two sisters, Elizabeth Felker, Wilma Pierce.

   Services were held on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors, Collinwood, with Tommy Burke officiating. Burial followed in the Memorial Gardens at Collinwood, Tennessee.
   Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County assisted the family.
