Peggy Jane Walker Keeton of Florence, Alabama was born on February 15, 1958 in Florence, Alabama. She was a daughter of the late Elmer “Pete” O’Neal Walker and Opal Lorene Wright Walker. Ms. Keeton was a Dietary Aid and attended church at Little Bethel Church in Cypress Inn, Tennessee. She departed this life suddenly on Sunday, June 28, 2020 at her home at the age of 62 years, 4 months and 13 days.
She is survived by a daughter, Sabrina Hendrix, her husband Matthew of Cypress Inn, TN; two brothers, Randy Walker and Terry Walker and his wife, Chambra all of Florence, AL; three sisters, Shirley Price, Linda Creasy and her husband Charles, and Ruth Weems all of Florence, AL; and four grandchildren, Sawyer, McKinley, Emeri and Talon Hendrix. In addition to her parents, Ms. Keeton was preceded in death by two sisters, Patricia Horton and Vickie Price and two brothers, Kenneth and Johnny “Leroy” Walker.
Services were held on Thursday, July 2, 2020 at 1:00 PM at One Lost Sheep Church, formerly Lindsey Chapel Church in Florence, Alabama, with Robert Marks officiating. Burial was in Lindsey Chapel Cemetery, Florence, Alabama with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County assisting the family.
