Mrs. Peggy Ann Jones Wyrick was born September 8, 1940 in Collinwood, Tennessee, the daughter of the late William “Bill” and Annie Staggs Jones. Mrs. Wyrick worked as a Riveter in Aircraft Manufacturing. She was a member of the Collinwood Church of Christ. Mrs. Wyrick departed this life on Sunday October 17, 2021 in Nashville, Tennessee at the age of 81 Years, 1 Month and 9 Days.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Jerry Wyrick of Collinwood, TN;
a daughter, Tammy Bennett and husband Andy of Waynesboro, TN; two sons, Jerry Dale Wyrick of Port Orchard, WA, David Wyrick and wife Lasonya of Meridan, MS; two grandchildren, Kelly Minor of Meridian, MS, Patricia Cheyanne Wyrick of Meridian, MS; a great-grandchild, Hayleighana Minor. She is also survived by her niece Gail Horton and husband Jerry of Camden, TN and two nephews, Rusty Chambers and wife Jenny, Randy Chambers and wife Peggy, both of Collinwood, TN.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wyrick was preceded in death by a son, Gary Brent Wyrick; her brothers and sisters, Mary Jones Wade, Willie Jones, Dorothy Jones Chambers, Ralph “Bob” Jones, Lonnie A. Jones, Charles “Bud” Jones, and Marvin A. Jones.
Services will be held on Saturday October 23, 2021 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors. Collinwood, Tennessee, with Chad Balentine officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Gardens at Collinwood, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County assisting the family.
