Otha Keith (Tootsie) Smith, Jr., Parsons, Tennessee, formerly of Collinwood, was born July 25, 1934 in Collinwood, TN, the son of the late Otha Keith and Mary Fannie Shipman Smith. He married the former Jo Ann Martin and she preceded him in death, October 30, 2007. Mr. Smith, a retired plant superintendent at the Foundry of the Shoals, was of the Protestant faith. He departed this life, Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at Waynesboro Health & Rehabilitation, Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 86 Years, 7 Months, 20 Days.
Survivors, son, Bryan Smith (Ann), Parsons, TN; granddaughters, Amanda Rea (Charlie) and Ashley Smith (Thomas); great-grandchildren, Blakelynn, Jo Anna, Anna Claire, Harper, Remington and Brycen; brother, David Smith, Lawrenceburg, TN; sister, Margaret Daniel, Collinwood, TN; nieces and nephews. Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by son, Otha Keith Smith, III; brothers, W.C. and Melvin (Pill) Smith and sister, Ruth Hanback.
Services were Saturday, March 20, 2021 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County chapel, Collinwood, Tennessee. Tim Hanback and David Smith officiated. Masonic and military rites were given. Burial, following cremation, will be the McGlamery Cemetery, Collinwood, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County assisting the family.
