Officers from Collinwood, Clifton, and Waynesboro Make Multiple Arrests

Timothy Jacob Riley, age 22, of Waynesboro, was arrested on Thursday, February 17 on a charge of statutory rape. The report filed by Investigator Dale Palmer of the Collinwood Police Department stated that Riley engaged in sexual activity with a 16-year-old on Saturday, February 5. Riley was booked into the Wayne County Jail on $50,000 bond.

Kiona Renay Gardner, age 37, of Nashville, TN, was arrested on Sunday, February 20 following an incident at CCA in Clifton. Investigator Steve Wilson of the Clifton Police Department filed a report stating that Gardner conspired with others to deliver drugs to an inmate at the prison in Clifton. Gardner allegedly concealed on her person a large quantity of marijuana, Suboxone, a cell phone, and a white powder suspected to be cocaine. At visitation on Sunday, Gardner was arrested on a charge of introduction of drugs into a penal facility after she allegedly delivered the contraband to an inmate who Inv. Wilson stated is known to be a member of the Crips gang. Gardner was booked into the Wayne County Jail on $25,000 bond.

Heather Ruth Freels, age 42, of Waynesboro, was arrested on Monday, February 21 following a traffic stop. Officer Darren Pounders of the Waynesboro Police Department stated that he performed a traffic stop on Freels after she was observed to have an expired tag. During the traffic stop, Pounders was told by dispatch that Freels’ driver’s license was revoked. Freels was then arrested on a charge of driving on revoked 3rd offense. After she was taken into custody, Officer Pounders searched the back seat of his patrol vehicle where Freels had been sitting and allegedly recovered approximately five grams of methamphetamine and a pipe containing meth residue. She then received additional charges of possession of schedule II with intent and felony possession of drug paraphernalia. She was booked into the Wayne County Jail on $90,000 bond.
