NOTICE FOR SEALED BIDS FOR ELECTRONICS UPGRADE AT THE WAYNE COUNTY JUSTICE CENTER

   The Governmental Entity of Wayne County, Tennessee, by the Wayne County General Sessions Court and Wayne County Sheriff’s Department, has been authorized to receive grant funds to upgrade the data capabilities and electronics used by the Wayne County Courts and Wayne County Sheriff’s Defendant to hear and adjudicate civil and criminal cases at the Wayne County Justice Center.

   The Governmental Entity of Wayne County, Tennessee, is hereby soliciting sealed bids to materials and labor necessary to upgrade the data capabilities and electronics specified in the grant application submitted to, and approved by, the Tennessee Administrative Office of the Courts.

   The Governmental Entity of Wayne County, Tennessee, shall require all Bids to be sealed and delivered to the “Office of the Wayne County Executive (County Mayor), 100 Court Circle, Office #300, Waynesboro, Tennessee, 38485,” no later than the 13th day of August, 2021, at 5:00 o’clock a.m., and all Bids, timely delivered, will be opened publicly and read aloud at that time.

   The work (i.e. data/electronics upgrade) for which bids are to be submitted consists of furnishing all labor, materials and performing all work required for the data capabilities and electronics upgrade for the Wayne County Justice Center and Jail as described herein, and/or as specified in the application for the grant approved to fund the data capabilities and electronics upgrade for the Wayne County Justice Center and Jail which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference thereto.

   The Wayne County Governmental Entity reserves the right to reject any and/or all proposals, to waive technicalities or informalities, and to accept any proposals deemed to be in the best interest of the Governmental Entity of Wayne County, Tennessee.

   The Wayne County Government Entity shall not accept any Bid unless it is signed by the bidder, or its duly authorized agent, and no bid shall be accepted by FAX machine or Email.

   The Wayne County Government Entity shall require any and all bidders to be licensed to perform the type of work, and provided the type of electronics herein described, if required by the Laws of the State of Tennessee. If so required, all bidders shall include the license number, expiration date thereof, and license classification of the bidding contractor and sub-contractor on the outside of the envelope containing the bid; otherwise, the bid shall not be opened or considered. No award of any contract will be made to any firm or individual that is currently debarred by any agency, or department, of the State of Tennessee or United States of America.

   Grant Application, Grant Plans, Grant Specifications, etc., may be examined at the following locations:

1. Office of the Administrator For the Wayne County General Sessions Court; and

2. Office of the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department; and

3. Office of the Wayne County Executive (i.e. County Mayor).
