   Norman Dean Baer of Waynesboro, Tennessee was born August 26, 1928 in Verdigre, Nebraska, the son of the late George  Melvin and Minnie Saunders Baer. He was united in marriage to the former Patsy Riley on January 20, 1951 and she preceded him in death on August 6, 2020. Mr. Baer was a retired electrician, having worked at Murray Ohio Manufacturing Company in Lawrenceburg, TN.  He was a member of the Wayne County Bible Center in Waynesboro, Tennessee. Mr. Baer departed this life on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at St. Thomas-Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro, Tennessee at the age of 92 Years, 4 Months and 1 Day.

   He is survived by a son, Gerald Baer and his wife, Daphne of Collinwood, TN; a daughter, Pamela Kay Barnes and her companion, Jerry Hunt of Waynesboro, TN; grandchildren, Heather Wren, Mandy, Colby and Logan Baer and Lindsey Barnes Moreland; great-grandchildren, Kade Chastain and Dalton Chastain, Stacey Creecy, Seth Swinea, Isabella Weibolt, Jackson Baer and Amory Baer and Aurora Moreland. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Baer was preceded in death by a daughter, Angela Baer; brothers, Gerald, Melvin, Rolland, J. Earl and Wilvan and unnamed twin siblings and sisters, Ruby and Bernice.

  Due to Covid-19, the family held a private visitation before a graveside service with military rites on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at 1 pm at the Shields Cemetery in Waynesboro, Tennessee with Leo Doyle officiating. Burial followed the services with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County assisting the family.
