Nell May Martin Bevis

Nell May Martin Bevis of Waynesboro, TN was born May 19, 1931 in Iron City, TN, the daughter of the late Coleman Frank and Eula E Martin. She married Willie Dalton Bevis and he preceded her in death on August 8, 1986. Mrs. Bevis, a retired certified nurse’s aide, was a member of the Waynesboro Church of Christ, Waynesboro, TN and departed this life on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at the Waynesboro Health and Rehabilitation Center, Waynesboro, TN at the age of 91 Years, 4 Months, 1 Day. Survivors, sons, Bobby Bevis, wife, Regina and Rex Bevis, wife, Ann all of Waynesboro, TN, Robert Bevis, wife, Mavis, Collinwood, TN and Willie Bevis, wife, Nonie, Worden, IL; grandchildren, Chris Bevis, Derrick Bevis, wife Julia, Amanda Bevis Jacobs, husband, Jake, Wendy Bevis Daniel, husband, Ben, Anna Brooke Lee, husband, Ryan and Suzanne Bevis; sisters, Iva McNutt, Chattanooga, TN, Frankie Morgan, Waynesboro, TN and Jean Littrell, husband, Elmo, Collinwood, TN; several other grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Bevis was preceded in death by son, Earnest Bevis and sisters, Lois Watkins, Lucille Keeton and Lila Whitehead. Services were Thursday, September 22, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors, Waynesboro, TN, with Cary Crews officiating. Burial was in the Memorial Gardens, Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County assisting the family. Pallbearers were Derrick Bevis, Chris Bevis, Drew Bevis, Blaine Bevis, Jaylen Bevis and Jacob Bevis with honorary pallbearers being Ben Daniel, Jake Jacobs and Ryan Lee.
