Nancy Beckham Porter, Collinwood, Tennessee, was born July 3, 1960 in Savannah, TN, the daughter of Glen Beckham, Collinwood, TN, who survives and the late Carolyn Martin Beckham. She married James Martin (Marty) Porter on July 1, 1994. Mrs. Porter was an Inspector with Tennessee Apparel and a member of the Houston Baptist Church, Collinwood, Tennessee and Indian Creek FCE. She departed this life Saturday, August 8, 2020 at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia, Tennessee at the age of 60 Years, 1 Month, 5 Days.
Besides her father, she is survived by her husband, James “Marty” Porter of Collinwood, TN; sons, Steven Burns, wife, Vicky of Collinwood, TN, Adam Porter, wife, Katherine of Lewisburg, TN, and Jamie Porter, wife, Jill of Mt. Juliet, TN; daughter, Jennifer Sherrill, husband, Chris of Waynesboro, TN; grandchildren, Abby, Matthew, Patrick, Maddy Lee and Parker Sherrill, Lily Grace and Luke Burns, Jorja Porter, Lucy Malak and Mary Kate Porter; brother, Jeff Beckham and sisters, Debbie Rogers and Connie McLin all of Collinwood, TN; nieces and nephews. In addition to her mother, Mrs. Porter was preceded in death by a brother, Greg Beckham and brothers-in-law, Danny McLin and William Rogers.
Services were Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Houston Baptist Church, Collinwood, Tennessee, with John Scoggin and David Miller officiating. Burial was in Mt. Hebron Cemetery, Collinwood, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County assisting the family. Pallbearers were Michael McLin, Adam Hollis, Nathan Hollander, Matthew Sherrill, Patrick Sherrill, Chris Sherrill and Preston Cummings.
