Nadine Dixon McCrory Higgs

   Nadine Dixon McCrory Higgs passed away peacefully on January 23, 2023, just a few weeks before her 97th birthday. She was a resident of Lyles, Tennessee, and was of the United Methodist faith. She was born in Wayne County, Tennessee, February 11, 1926. She was a graduate of Wayne County High School class of 1945.

   Survivors include her husband, Bob Higgs, of Lyles; daughter, Kennie Parker (Mike) of Franklin; sons, Ron (Linda) of Lyles, Eddie of Honolulu, HI; sister, Emma Stricklin of Waynesboro; grandchildren, John Parker (Jennifer), Ellen Parker Brown (Trev), Shane McCrory (Regina), Josh McCrory (Lindsey), Lindsey Deal (Richard), Adrienne Holton (Luke) and Lauren McCrory; great-grandchildren, Zack and Eli McCrory, Elisabeth and Sarabeth Brown, Keilei and Kenslei McCrory, Kimbrel Deal, and Harper McCrory; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

   Nadine was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Belle Dixon; husband, Rev. Kenneth McCrory; sister, Lola Jean Melton; brother, Troy Dixon; grandson, Dr. Jeffrey Parker. 

   A memorial service is planned tentatively for February 11, 2023 at Shawnettee Church in Collinwood, TN.  Time of the service to be determined.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Mt. Hope United Methodist Church or Shawnettee Church, or the charity of your choice.
