Mike “Coalminer” Lee

   Mr. Mike “Coalminer” Lee, age 77, of Olive Hill, TN was born October 21, 1945 in Terre Haute, IN to the late James Lee and Mona Baugham Dunnigan. He worked as a machine operator for Wayne County Rock until his retirement. In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. After retirement, he enjoyed mowing the yard with his zero-turn lawnmower, watching football and the Little League World Series. He loved spending time with his family especially his great-grandson Easton. He will be remembered as a car enthusiast, especially loving older cars, muscle cars, and hot rods. Mr. Lee departed this life on Wednesday December 28, 2022 at his home in Olive Hill.

   Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Connie Wilson Lee; his daughter, Missy Lamb (David); a brother, David Bennett; sister, Becky Harvey. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Ashley Dicus (Brandon), Erika Lynn, Aundrea Lee, and Jesse Lee, as well as several great-grandchildren.

   In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Kevin Lee.

   In keeping with his wishes, Mr. Lee will be cremated with private family services to follow at a later time. Bates-Love Funeral and Cremation is honored to serve the Lee family.
