   Melvin Thomas Dixon of Collinwood, Tennessee was born November 4, 1947 in the Shawnettee Community of Collinwood, TN, the son of the late Thomas Cincinnati and Mamie Ruth Stockard Dixon. Mr. Dixon was the owner of Sarge’s Shack in Pulaski, TN. He was a barber, a farmer and was involved in many other business activities.  Mr. Dixon was a member of the former Jaycees organization and had served in the TN National Guard. He was a member of the Shawnettee Methodist Church, Collinwood, Tennessee. He departed this life on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at his home at the age of 73 Years, 7 Months, 29 Days.

   He is survived by a sister, Charlotte Ruth Wisdom and husband, Carl and nephew, Thomas Wisdom all of Lawrenceburg, TN and companion, Vicki Spurlin of Cornersville, TN. In addition to his parents, Mr. Dixon was preceded in death by his son, Brent Thomas Dixon.

   A graveside service was held Monday, July 5, 2021 at the Shawnettee Cemetery in Collinwood, Tennessee with Jim Arrington officiating. Burial followed with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County assisting the family. Pallbearers were Les Reed, Tim Keeton, Brian Brison, Josh Davis, Patrick Lancaster, Ronnie McCrory, Rickey Violet, and Bobby Blanton.
