Mary Lou Wilbanks Brown was born March 27, 1924 at her home in Collinwood, TN the daughter of Willie Wilbanks Sr. and Mollie Bell Haddock Wilbanks.She was united in marriage to Clice Brown on October12,1939 and Mr. Brown preceded her in death on March 18,1981. Mrs. Brown retired as an assembly worker at Mallory Capacitor Company and departed this life on December5,2021 in Collinwood, TN at the age of 97years,8 months,8 and days.
She is survived by a daughter, Gloria Skaggs and husband Jimmy of Collinwood, TN; seven grandchildren, Ginger Shaw, Dan Shaw, Lesa Keener, David Keener, Laura Stricklin, Jeffery Stricklin, and Jimmy Skaggs Jr.; and nine great grandchildren, Haven Jones, Hunter Adams, Ashlynd Skaggs, Brandy Daniel, Marlee Cox, Peyton Shaw, Amy Skaggs, Jimmy Skaggs III, and Aubrey Stricklin.
In addition to her parents and her husband Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by two sisters, Letha Brown and Francis Adams; and a brother, Willie Wilbanks Jr.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday,December8,2021 from 10:00a.m. until 2:00p.m. at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Collinwood, TN.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday,December8,2021 at 2:00p.m. at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Collinwood, TN, with officiating Tim Hanback. Burial will follow in the Memorial Gardens.
