Margaret C. Balentine Bryant, Waynesboro, TN, was born August 30, 1938 in Wayne County, TN. She was a daughter of the late Ellis and Ollie Berry Balentine. Mrs. Bryant was united in marriage to George Elton Harmon Bryant on September 30, 1961 and he preceded her in death on August 16, 2019. Mrs. Bryant was a retired seamstress with Angelica Corporation at Collinwood Manufacturing. She departed from this life on Sunday, April 24, 2022 at Wayne Medical Center in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 83 Years, 7 Months and 25 Days.
She is survived by her two sons, Terry Bryant and his wife, Scarlett of Waynesboro, TN and Paul Bryant and his wife, Deb of Collinwood, TN; her two stepsons, Elton Bryant and his wife, Dianne of Nashville, TN and Curt Bryant and his wife, Laura of Elkhart, IN; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and sisters, Sue Bogus and her husband, Bobby and Mary Robinson and her husband, Bobby all of Florence, AL. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Bryant was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Balentine.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel in Waynesboro, Tennessee, with John Heard officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Methodist Church Cemetery in Lawrenceburg (Wayne County), Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County assisting the family. Serving as pallbearers will be Terry Bryant, Paul Bryant, Curt Bryant, Clint Bryant, Cody Bryant and Elton Bryant.
