Samuel West Curtis, age 60, of Waynesboro, was arrested on Friday, August 20th. Deputy James Brock filed a report stating that he went to an address on Moccasin Creek Road to serve a previous warrant on Curtis for violation of probation. Curtis allegedly attempted to swallow a bag containing 0.08 grams of methamphetamine when the officers ordered him to empty his pockets. He was arrested on charges of possession of schedule II (meth) with intent, tampering with evidence, and violation of probation. He was booked into the Wayne County Jail with no bond.
