Main Pavilion at Waynesboro City Park Destroyed by Fire

   The pavilion which stood for many decades at the entrance to the Waynesboro City Park was destroyed by fire on Tuesday night, November 17^th. Reports state that fire crews responded to the blaze at approximately 11:30 p.m., but were unable to save the structure. Waynesboro Police Chief Walter Smith stated that the incident is still under investigation. No information has yet been released as to how the fire began.
