I, William Lynn Warren, would like to announce my candidacy for Waynesboro City Commissioner in the Wayne County General Election on August 6, 2020.

I was born and raised in the city of Waynesboro and have spent my entire adult working life in Wayne County. My parents are June Warren and the late C.M. Warren who also spent their entire lives in Wayne County. I am now married to Heather Prater Warren, and we have one daughter, Jaylee, who is now attending Tennessee Tech University.

After graduating from Wayne County High School, I attended Middle Tennessee State University and Tennessee State University where I received degrees in Business Administration,  Business Education, and Educational Administration. I have worked 29 years in the Wayne County school system and am currently working as a grant coordinator at the Wayne County Board of Education.

As a city commissioner, I am very interested in the growth and prosperity of Waynesboro. I hope to be involved in decisions which will ensure a safe environment, maintain a reasonable cost of living, and also be involved in progressive planning which will continue to develop a town our citizens can be proud of.

I look to the future positively and would appreciate your vote. If you have questions or concerns, please contact me at 931-332-3081.
