Lutts Man Arrested Following Traffic Stop

   Devin Wayne Hunt, age 35, of Lutts, was arrested on Tuesday, November 10th following a traffic stop. The report filed by Deputy Eric Wilson states that he, Deputy Spencer Ray, and Deputy Tyler McKenzie performed a traffic stop on a vehicle with no tag and a loud exhaust. Before the vehicle came to a stop, Hunt allegedly opened the passenger door, jumped out, and ran away on foot. Following a brief pursuit, the officers apprehended Hunt and allegedly located a container in his pocket that held 0.7 grams of methamphetamine. Hunt was arrested on charges of resisting stop or arrest and possession of schedule II methamphetamine. Hunt also had an outstanding warrant for domestic assault in connection to an alleged incident on November 30th, 2018, and an additional outstanding warrant for sexual battery in regard to alleged incident that took place on June 29th, 2020. He was booked into the Wayne County Jail on $103,500.00 bond.
