Mrs. Katie Youngblood Morgan of Hot Springs, Arkansas was born on Tuesday, February 3, 1920 in Waynesboro, Tennessee, the daughter of the late James William Youngblood and Lina Shull Youngblood Beckham. She eloped with her handsome boyfriend, James Hobert Morgan, on Thursday, December 22, 1938. They were blessed with three children, James William, Linda Kay, and Carylon Jane. After farming in Tennessee for several years, they moved to Mishawaka, IN where jobs were available. There, Katie worked for the Lee Jean Company and found her real fulfillment in life at the Twin City Baptist Church. She and her James served in the youth department for about 25 years where she challenged the teens to give their lives to the Lord. As she always said, “God can do more with your life than you can.” Today there are many of these “teens” serving and scattered around the world. They always made sure to have an open home with warm reception for people. Katie and Jim returned to retire in Tennessee about 30 years ago. They loved the Houston Baptist Church and reaching out to people who needed to find the peace she had found in the Lord Jesus. For the last three years, she has lived in Hot Springs, AR in an assisted living home.

Mrs. Morgan departed this life on Monday, February 17, 2020 at Quapaw Care and Rehabilitation in Hot Springs, AR at the age of 100 Years and 14 Days.
