Kathy Jean Jones Sherrill was born October 9, 1958 in Waynesboro, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Bill Jones and Shirley Jean Staggs Frazier. She married Roger Sherrill on May 28, 1977. Mrs. Sherrill departed this life at her home on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 in Collinwood, Tennessee at the age of 62 Years, 1 Month and 29 Days.
Mrs. Sherrill was a food stewardess for the Turney Center Annex and had worked for the Texas Boot Company and had cared for her clients as a Home Health Nurse. She was a member of the Choates Creek United Methodist Church and loved spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Roger Sherrill, a son, Brandon Sherrill and wife, Ashlee, a daughter, April Shackelford Abott and husband, Ray all of Collinwood, TN; brothers, Terry Kelly of Savannah, TN and Michael Kelly of Florida; grandchildren, Paxton Shackelford, Iuka, MS, Raylee Abott and Case Sherrill, both of Collinwood, TN. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Sherrill was preceded in death by brothers, Randy Kelly and Wade Frazier, grandchild, Brennon Shackelford, and stepfather, Roy Kelly.
Services were held on Friday, December 11, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel, Collinwood, Tennessee with Greg Eaton officiating. Burial was in Mt. Hebron Cemetery, Collinwood, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County assisting the family.
