Jimmy Lane Bowling was born November 12, 1969 in Waynesboro, TN, the son of Mary Lois Beckham Bowling and the late Jimmy Gus Bowling. He was united in marriage to Tonya on November 26, 2016. He was an assembly line worker having worked for Lincoln Brass Works in Waynesboro and Cabinets to Go in Lawrenceburg, TN. In his free time Mr. Bowling enjoyed fishing, watching UT Football, NASCAR, and listening to Hank Williams, Jr. Mr. Bowling departed this life on May 8, 2022 at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, Tennessee at the age of 52 Years, 5 Months, 26 Days.
He is survived by his wife Tonya Bowling of Collinwood, TN; his mother Mary Lois Bowling of Collinwood, TN; three sons, Matthew Bowling and wife Rebecca of Nashville, TN, Christopher Bowling and wife Brianna of Waynesboro, TN, Michael Moore of Waynesboro, TN; five daughters, Lydia Bowling of Lawrenceburg, TN, Destiny Skelton, Camara Skelton all of Waynesboro, TN, Chasity Cox and husband Nick , Charity Ray all of Lawrenceburg, TN; six grandchildren, Ben Bowling, Gabrielle Bowling, Carson Bowling, Paisley Bowling, Phebie Bowling, Addison Cox, Jasmine Cox, Toby Cox, and Gracie Cox; brother, Tony Bowling, wife Emily, of Waynesboro, TN; sister, Amy Smyder, husband Mark of Collinwood, TN, several nieces and nephews. Mr. Bowling was preceded in death by his father Jimmy Gus Bowling.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Houston Baptist Church in Collinwood, TN, with John Scoggins officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. Hebron Cemetery at Collinwood, TN.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May11, 2022 from 6:00 PM till 9:00 PM and again on May 12, 2022 from 8:00 AM till 3:00 PM.
