I, Jeffery Wayne Davis, would like to announce my candidacy for re-election for the office of Waynesboro City Commissioner in The Wayne County General Election on August 6, 2020.

I am a lifelong resident of Wayne County and have resided in Waynesboro for the past 34 years. I am grateful to have served diligently as a member of the Waynesboro City Commissioner’s office for the past four years.

I am married to Becky Mathis Davis and we have two children, Ashlee Long, husband Charles (Bubba) Long and Cameron Davis, wife Cessaley, who also make their homes in Waynesboro. We have been blessed with four grandchildren, Makohl and Madden Haggard and Creed and Courtlyn Davis. I am the son of Milas and Glenda Davis of Collinwood and the grandson of Ila Cole and Ruby Davis who reside in Waynesboro. I have a vital interest in the growth of Waynesboro not just for myself, but most importantly for the well being of my friends, my family, and all the citizens of this great city.

I am owner of Flat Rate Real Estate. I also work for Postal Fleet and USPS. I have enjoyed serving as your commissioner for the last four years and feel I have learned a lot from the experience.

Due to the restrictions and concerns of the coronavirus, I will not be campaigning door to door. Hopefully I will be able to communicate with you in various other situations and methods. If you have questions or other concerns, I would love to talk to you. You may reach me at 931-722-8805 or 931-722-5130. I would very much appreciate your support in my pursuit to serve you again as your city commissioner.
