James Frank Bundrant was born August 30, 1946 in Waynesboro, TN, the son of the late Roy Frank and Mary Ethel Dixon Bundrant. Mr. Bundrant married Sherry Mae Akins June 26, 1976, graduated from Draughons Junior College in Nashville, and went on to become a successful businessman. He served on the Board of Directors of Pure Oil Company; he was also a member of Tennessee Oil Marketers Association. He served as a Wayne County School Board member for 12 years. He also served as a City Commissioner, volunteer fireman, and was owner and operator of Bundrant Car Care for over 50 years. He loved his family and devoted all his spare time to family functions and anything his kids and grandkids participated in. He was a kind, loving and amazing husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. James Frank was often described as a “Man of Honor,” a “Family Man,” and a “Great Community Man.” He loved and accepted people as they were and always was encouraging everyone to do their best. Mr. Bundrant departed this life on November 12, 2021 in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 75 Years, 2 Months, 13 Days.

He is survived by his wife Sherry Mae Akins Bundrant of Waynesboro, TN: two sons, Andy Kelly and wife Lori of Jackson, TN, Jeremy Bundrant and wife Brandi of Waynesboro, TN; two daughters, Kris Kelly Weathers and husband Harry of Hopkinsville, KY, Joy Staggs and husband Mark of Clifton, TN; eight grandchildren, Jackson Weathers, Kelsey Kelly Dill and husband Taylor, Andrew Kelly and wife Kelli, Lee Anna Staggs, Tucker Staggs, Sallie Bundrant, Katie Bundrant, Heidi Bundrant; great-grandchildren Krew Kelly, Kamdyn and Kollyns Dill. In addition to his parents, Mr. Bundrant was preceded in death by a son, James Marvin Bundrant.

Graveside services were held on November 14, 2021 at the Memorial Gardens in Waynesboro, Tennessee with Johnny Kilburn and Adam Rush officiating. Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County assisted the family.

Pallbearers included Dwight Prince, Nicky Dixon, Chris Dixon, Andrew Kelly, Tucker Staggs and Aaron Kelly.
