Mr. James Evans “Bo” Jackson was born January 10, 1944 in Lawrence County, Tennessee, the son of the late Wilburn and Cleo Wise Jackson. Mr. Jackson worked for a number of years at Hassell and Hughes Lumber Company and “Collinwood Walmart.” He was united in marriage to the former Janice Creecy. Mr. Jackson departed this life Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee at the age of 77 Years, 7 Months, 4 Days.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Creecy Jackson of Collinwood, TN; a son, Kevin Jackson and wife, Pat of Collinwood, TN; two daughters, Keshia Jackson of Murfreesboro, TN, McKinzie Brewer and husband, Justin of Cypress Inn, TN; two brothers, R.V. Jackson and wife, Maggie of West Point, TN, Ronald Jackson and wife, Jean of West Point, TN; a sister, Sis Williams of Leoma, TN; six grandchildren, Kelsey Jackson, Nathan Jackson, Anna Brewer, Kaylee Keeton, Maddox Keeton, and Jada Whitehead.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Jackson was preceded in death by a step-son, Barry Victory.
Visitation was on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM and Wednesday, August 18, 2021 from 11:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Services will be held on Wednesday August 18, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel, Collinwood, with Roger Creecy officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Gardens, Collinwood, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County assisting the family.
