Iron City Woman Arrested After Allegedly Shooting Brother-in-Law

   Joanne Cox Salo, age 56, of Iron City, was arrested on Monday, February 15th on multiple charges related to a shooting incident. The report filed by Deputy Jaggar Thompson stated that Salo shot her brother-in-law Kevin Rodney in the leg while at her residence on Railroad Bed Road. Salo allegedly seemed to be intoxicated, and admitted to drinking three beers. When Deputy Thompson performed a search before Salo was placed into the patrol car, he allegedly found a glass meth pipe in her possession. Salo was charged with aggravated assault, possession of a handgun while under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was booked into the Wayne County Jail on $80,000.00 bond.
