Iron City Man on Meth and Firearm Charges

   John William Daniel, age 32, of Iron City was arrested on Wednesday, October 28th on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of a firearm during a dangerous felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Deputy Tyler McKenzie filed a report stating that he performed a traffic stop on a van driven by Daniel for failing to come to a complete stop at a stop sign. While speaking with Daniel, Deputy McKenzie asked for and received consent to search the vehicle. The search revealed a black bag containing a tin can that allegedly held approximately 0.3 grams of methamphetamine, three used syringes, and several small plastic bags. Deputy McKenzie also allegedly located a loaded 9mm Luger handgun inside the vehicle. Daniel was arrested and booked into the Wayne County Jail on $110,000.00 bond.
