Iron City Man Arrested for Aggravated Burglary

   Timothy Lee Griggs, age 26, of Iron City, was arrested on Sunday, April 18^th on charges of aggravated burglary and public intoxication. The report filed by Sgt. Bryant Burcham of the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office stated that Griggs allegedly tried to break into Amber Thompson’s mobile home. Ms. Thompson allegedly stated that Griggs beat and kicked a door trying to make entry, and opened a bedroom window in an attempt to get in. When officers located Griggs, he allegedly appeared to be highly intoxicated and admitted to doing meth. He was arrested and booked into the Wayne County Jail on $50,500.00 bond.
