The Horseshoe Riverbend Festival, hosted by the Clifton Rotary Club, is coming up this Saturday, September 11th. This year’s event will be somewhat different than in years past, but will still be fabulous with live music at the new Riverfront Park Stage next to the Tennessee River.

There will be a car show earlier in the day at Frank Hughes High School, and the festivities will then move to the Riverfront Park starting at 1:00 p.m. There will be lots of kids’ activities, including a bounce house and games. Food and craft vendors will be set up, and there will even be hot air balloon rides for the adventurous and NOT faint of heart!

The live music on the Riverfront Stage will begin with Kimberlie Helton at 6:00 p.m. Kimberlie is a singer/songwriter born in the home of the blues, Memphis, Tennessee. Although most of the songs she has written are country, you can hear the soulful, bluesy influence in her voice when she covers some of her favorites.

“I’m not sure I chose country music; in a way, it kind of chose me,” claims blue-collared hero Glen Templeton, who will take the stage at 8:00 p.m. Sharing stages with the likes of Loretta Lynn, George Jones, Montgomery Gentry, LoCash, and countless others, Glen Templeton has amassed an immeasurable number of faithful fans and followers.

Rounding out the musical performances will be Muscle Shoals favorites, The Midnighters, who will take the stage at 10:00 p.m. The Midnighters are a soul dance band who perform a variety of fan favorites from different genres, such as Motown soul, modern pop, and even old school tunes.

This will be a family friendly event! Beer and other adult beverages will not be sold. There will be plenty of parking available at the Riverfront Park on the land side of the road, just follow the signs.

Be sure to bring a chair. This is an outside concert venue and there are no seats provided.

Come on out to the river city of Clifton this Saturday for lots of great food, fun, and music!
