   Hollis Ray Butler was born February 13, 1939 in Russellville, AL, the son of Imogene Ruth Butler. He was united in marriage to Mary Lee Blevins on January 2, 1960 and she preceded him in death on April 29, 2019. Mr. Butler retired as an outside salesman for heavy duty parts for Fleet Pride and was a member of the Grace House Church in Florence, AL. He departed this life on September 10, 2022 in Cypress Inn, TN at his home at the age of 83 years, 6 months, and 28 days. 

   He is survived by two sons, Michael Ray Butler of Cypress Inn, TN, and Joseph Anthony Butler of Florence, AL; four grandchildren, Candise (Butler) Cooper, Matthew Cory Butler, Ina Lauren Butler, and Jena Michelle Butler; and two great-grandchildren, Noah Luke Cooper and Caleb Josiah Cooper. Mr. Butler was preceded in death by his mother and wife. 

   Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Collinwood, TN. Funeral services were held on September 13, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Collinwood, TN, with Gary Cosby and Joseph Anthony Butler officiating. Burial followed in the Railroad Cemetery at Iron City, TN with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County assisting the family. 

   In lieu of flowers the family request memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
