This past weekend, as the first day of spring arrived, so did the Easter Bunny! The first Annual GLOW Egg Hunt was held at the gazebo on the public square in Waynesboro on Saturday, March 20. Lots of energized kids were on hand to search for the oodles of eggs hidden around the gazebo park. Many smiles were seen as the Easter Bunny greeted those anxiously waiting for a sneak peek and a sweet treat. The free community event attracted the young and old and was hosted by the Downtown Waynesboro Committee.

The Downtown Waynesboro Committee is a non-profit program of Tennessee Downtowns that is an affiliated program of Tennessee Main Street. The Waynesboro charter is sponsored by the Wayne County Chamber of Commerce and is comprised of several local citizen-volunteers whose mission is to help revitalize, enhance and promote Downtown Waynesboro as the best place to visit, work, shop, play and live through community partnerships. They meet the third Thursday of each month to plan and organize new and exciting free events for the community to enjoy. Several free community events are currently being planned.

The Downtown Waynesboro Committee expressed their appreciation to all of the patrons who attended the event for making it such a success. Until the next event…hope to see you there!
