Mrs. Hazel Lee Pitts Turner was born January 8, 1938 in Wayne County, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Jim and Annie Davis Pitts. She was united in marriage to Billy Joe Turner on October 12, 1953. Mr. Turner preceded her in death on March 8, 1997. Mrs. Turner departed this life on October 27, 2020 in Clifton, Tennessee at the age of 82 Years, 9 Months, 19 Days.
She is survived by a son, Randy Turner of Clifton, TN, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Turner was preceded in death by three brothers, J.C. Pitts, Cecil Pitts, Troy Pitts; and a sister, Delia Bell Reeves.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 29, 2020 from 1:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Waynesboro and again on Friday from 10:00 am until service time at 3:00 PM at Old Union Church.
Services were held on Friday, October 30, 2020 at 3:00 PM at Old Union Church in Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Geneva Middleton officiating. Burial followed in the Balcum Cemetery at Waynesboro.
