   On June 30, 2021, Golden Haddock Thompson Stults, Collinwood, Tennessee, passed away at the age of 91 at her home. She was a beloved mom, grandmother, and friend. “Granny Golden” or “Gran” were the names most everyone knew her by even if they weren’t family. In her lifetime, she faced many struggles and great losses, but she never lost her determination and zest for life. She worked hard her entire life and even continued to work as a cook and sitting with the elderly well into her 80’s. She was the most generous person and she never gave up on anything or anyone she loved. She truly was “Golden” to all the people who loved her. She was born February 23, 1930 in Wayne County, TN, the daughter of the late Rye and Roxie Lowery Haddock.

   Survivors, daughters, Rhonda Thompson Donovan and Selena Stults Carver (Jerry) all of Collinwood, TN; daughter-in-law, Diann Thompson Warden, Lawrenceburg, TN; 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by sons, Richard, Steve and Therion Thompson; daughter, Sabrina Stults Thompson; grandson, Cameron Stults and sisters, Wynelle Carter and Lavelle Blalock.

   Services were Saturday, July 3, 2021 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors, Collinwood, Tennessee, with Nelson Moffett officiating. Burial was in Memorial Gardens, Collinwood, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County directing. Pallbearers were Ben Hamner, Braden Harris, Justin Horton, Lane Makara, Alex Byrd, Jake Carver and Jerry Carver with honorary pallbearers being Beckett Stooksberry and Caden Cantrelle.
