Gary Zane Cole, age 33, of Waynesboro, was arrested on Friday, April 30th on charges of aggravated burglary, burglary, criminal trespass, theft of property under $1,000, simple possession of schedule VI marijuana, and public intoxication. Deputy Brent Butler filed a report stating that on Thursday, April 29th, Cole allegedly entered a residence on Terry Road without the owners’ consent while the owners were inside. The owners stated that they did not know Cole. Cole was located walking in the roadway away from the residence, allegedly carrying an open beer and found to be in possession of marijuana. A separate arrest warrant filed by Investigator Matt Retherford stated that between January 30th and February 15th, 2021, Cole stole a BB pistol, costume jewelry, and clothing from the home of Patricia Jean Joo in Collinwood. The value of the stolen items was estimated to be $350. Cole was arrested and booked into the jail on $106,500.00 bond.
