Freddie Lando Wallace was born December 7, 1935 in Cypress Inn, TN, the son of the late Lee V. and Annie Jossie Cody Wallace. He was united in marriage to Amanda Carolyn Springer on May 4, 1957. Mr. Wallace departed this life on August 25, 2022 in Columbia, TN at the age of 86 years, 8 months, and 18 days.
He is survived by his wife, Amanda Carolyn Springer Wallace of Waynesboro, TN; and a sister, Nellie Helton of Waynesboro, TN
In addition to his parents, Mr. Wallace is preceded in death by six brothers, Ammon Wallace of Collinwood, TN, Danville Wallace of Lawrenceburg, TN, Leander Wallace of Collinwood, TN, Almon Wallace of Collinwood, TN, Doyal Wallace of Waynesboro, TN, and Novie Wallace of Collinwood, TN; two sisters, Myrtle Jones of Waynesboro, TN, and Carlean Butler of Amory, MS.
Funeral services were held on August 26, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Waynesboro, TN, with Tim Hanback officiating. Burial followed in the Railroad Cemetery at Iron City, TN with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County assisting the family.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorial donations be made to the family for funeral expenses.
